W. Douglas Young, Chairman, CEO and Co-founder Mr. Young together with his partner, founded LiveCargo in 2003. He has over 33 years of experience growing technology companies and leading them through successful exits, including seven start-up companies and 13 acquisitions. In 1995, Mr Young sold Image Technology, Inc. to MCI Telecommunications, Inc. and the company became the Internet division for ISP, Web hosting, e-commerce and portal development with Mr Young serving as MCI’s President for the division. In addition to Image Technology, Mr. Young has considerable experience in the internet portal industry: he was the founder and CEO of GuardiaNet Systems, Inc. (GSI), an Internet access management technology company focused on public libraries and universities which was sold to 3M Corporation in April, 2003; and he was the founder and CEO of OnePlace, Ltd., an Internet portal, e-commerce and Internet broadcasting company acquired by Salem Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: SALM) in January 1999. Mr. Young has been twice nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year in North Carolina by Ernst & Young and was a finalist in 1996. Mr. Young received his degree in Physics from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. R. Ken Bowden, Director, President, Mr. Bowden joined LiveCargo in 2005. He has over 28 years of sales, marketing and management experience, including computer software and hardware sales. Prior to LiveCargo, he held several management positions with DLP, Inc., before and after its acquisition by Medtronic. He also founded Bowden Properties, LLC, and founded and served as Managing Partner of Redco, LLC and has also been involved as a partner in Tumblebees Ultimate Gym, LLC. Mr. Bowden received his degree in Business Administration from Elon College. Ken Wilkinson Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives & Product Management Kenneth F. Wilkinson has over 20-years experience in the software development industry and over 20 years of managing technology innovation. Ken’s long track record of success includes leadership roles within companies such as MCI, One Place (a subsidiary of the publically traded Salem Communications), and GuardiaNet. Mr. Wilkinson also successfully led two startup companies, Boxer Technology and LibraryGuardian. At MCI Mr. Wilkinson headed the design and development team of MCI’s first E-Commerce site, and at One Place he served as the Chief Technology Officer, which included him establishing one of the largest streaming networks in the U.S. During Ken’s leadership, GuardiaNet sold and distributed over 500,000 smart cards to public libraries, which at the time rivaled the smart card distributions of Visa and American Express. Mr. Wilkinson also led a small software filtering company, LibraryGuardian, and immediately prior to joining LiveCargo, led a successful consulting practice, Boxer Technology, which focused on safe social networking technology and global applications. Ken earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Georgia and has participated in graduate studies in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is also a member of the Product Development and Management Association, and the International Association of Software Architects. Bart Coan Director of Program Development and Technical Services Bart has more than 18+ years experience in software application development in a variety of industries including electronic commerce, insurance, financial services, telecommunications, and manufacturing. He has proven management expertise in building and developing software organizations in high business growth environments, including groups in global locations. Prior to joining LiveCargo, Bart held management positions with GMAC Insurance and was the Development Director at BCE Emergis, a Canadian based electronic commerce provider. BCE Emergis acquired InvoiceLink, where he was responsible for managing research and development activities. Prior to joining InvoiceLink, Bart held software management positions at Volvo Commercial Finance where he managed the information technology organization. Volvo Commercial Finance was a captive finance startup supporting Volvo manufactured heavy equipment. Bart is a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. |
